Welcome to the Space: 1999 Omega Diary

What is This, Anyway?

This diary will be an ongoing (yet mostly spoiler-free) log of the development of the novel
Space: 1999 Omega.

I can't promise how often it will be updated, but I'll try to keep at it.  Drop me a line if
you're enjoying it, though, but don't ask for secrets...

Back in Action...

Okay, hiatus over.  Omega is back in production.

Mary's Monster Redux will just have to wait.

So, what's new?

Issues I was waiting for answers on have been answered, which means a little bit of
rewriting (happily done, since I'd been lobbying for one particular change that did come
about, and now I can go back and insert the stuff that results from the change) in earlier
parts of the book.  Plowing forward has meant digging into the action scene that will take
up the last half of the book.

Wait a minute, how can one scene take up half of a book?  Well, you just make sure
enough stuff's going on.

One of the more fun parts of dealing with nasty life forms in the Alphan universe is
coming up with ways to fight them, particularly given the relatively low-tech (in science
fiction standards) weaponry available to our friends on Moonbase Alpha.

One or two of the following statements will be revealed in Omega:

*  Arra and her people were up to no good...
*  Arra and her people were doing something wonderful...
*  Somebody knocked the Moon out of Earth's orbit for a reason
*  Moonbase Alpha has no pinball machines, but Pong is all the rage

That's all for now...
